On Friday 27th April I'm promoting the first Keeping It House at The Big Chill House and I am honoured to have a living legend as my guest DJ. Mike Pickering is quite simply one of the most important people in British club culture history - one of the first UK DJs to champion House Music, Mike was resident DJ at the Hacienda throughout the glory years. I find it quite surreal that the bloke who we used to look up to from the Hacienda dance floor every week is now a mate but he's an all round top fella (apart from being a City fan!). Keeping It House is a night representing the best in quality house music from the last twenty years. We are talking the real deal from the likes of Kerry Chandler, Frankie Knuckles, Lil Louis, MAW, Don Carlos, Kevin Saunderson, Murk, Dave Lee, Adonis and more recent stuff from Loco Dice, Karizma, Fish Go Deep, Mr V, Ame, etc... Keeping The Faith, the Northern Soul & Funk night I was running the last Friday of the month at the same venue has now moved to smaller room upstairs. Anyway, all the details are on here...
